News From: www.gdc-uk.org

A new Executive Director, Fitness to Practise Transition has joined the GDC, taking over from Jonathan Green who left at the end of 2017.

Commenting on Jonathan's move to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, Chair of the GDC Bill Moyes, said: "While we are all sorry to see Jonathan leave the GDC, he is leaving us at a time when the improvements in Fitness to Practise processes that he has led are really bearing fruit, and with clear plans for further improvement work in place. We are grateful for all he has done."

The new Executive Director, Tom Scott, has extensive experience in change management, driving efficiency, process design, embedding continuous improvement and team building. He has led strategic and business transformation programmes at both Camelot and RAC Motoring Services.

Tom said: "I'm delighted to have the opportunity to lead and support the work which is going on to further develop and hone the GDC's Fitness to Practise operation, within the context of Shifting the balance."

We are continuing an end-to-end review of our Fitness to Practise processes. If you have views which you would like us to consider please send an e-mail with 'end-to-end review' in the subject heading to communications@gdc-uk.org by 31 January.
