These checks and tasks are performed to ensure that the ultrasonic cleaner is free from debris and that daily process elements are checked.

The routine checks and tasks are based on the manufacturer’s recommendations and should be located in the machine manual.

Any issues highlighted during routine housekeeping and safety checks should be reported to the User prior to use.

Care should be taken when performing the required checks and tasks, and the ultrasonic cleaner should be disconnected from the mains.

What is the Procedure, and Pass/Fail Criteria

Common daily and weekly tasks and safety checks for an ultrasonic cleaner prior to use are:

  • Clean the tank.
  • Remove and clean filters if applicable.
  • Clean external surfaces of the ultrasonic cleaner.
  • Clean any furniture required for the cleaning process.
  • Check the level of detergent if dosing is automatic.
  • Check nozzles for blockage if applicable.
  • Check rotation of spray arms if applicable.
  • Any other task as required by the manufacturer.
Although no pass or fail criteria is provided, any issues highlighted during the above tasks should be reported to the User prior to use.
